We're together and that's all that matters- does it remind you of someone? That someone who has been there in all your weal and woes? That someone who is your only love?
The quote above is my favorite one from the classic Romance novel Only Love by Erich Segal.
Synopsis:
Matt and Silvia, two idealistic young doctors fall in love when they join a mercy mission to Africa. They have one year before they are swept away by bloodshed and violence. Matt hates Silvia since then.
After several years of their separation, Silvia arrives to Matt as his patient. Will Matt be able to save Silvia(currently a rich man's wife)? And if he saves, will they get back together again?
Rating:
5/5
My thoughts about the book:
As for me, the book was worth my time. I read it thrice. The plot, characters, development were great.
Why you should read it:
The chemistry between Matt and Silvia is worth it.
You can know about the mercy mission back then.
The book contains a lot about music, if you like those piano-plays in theatres, then this book is just for you.
About the author:
Erich Segal was the best-selling author of the synthetic Romance novel, Love story. He was an American author, screenwriter, educator and classicist.
I have all the other classics by Erich Segal. I know they are worth a try. Have you read any of his books? Lemme know in the comments below.
TIA!
